Maulana Azad College, a premier College of Kolkata, West Bengal, is proud to have its Alumni Association i.e. Maulana Azad College Alumni Association Kolkata comprising of ex-students from different fields of activities.

Members of MACAAK

It includes scientist, civil servants, teachers, literary critics, journalist, political leaders, social activists, engineers, doctors, entrepreneurs etc.

In the year 2010, the dream of establishing MAC Alumni Association, Kolkata, came true due to the sincere efforts of its ex-students. MACAAK has been cooperating and coordinating with the college authority in the spheres of various academic activities of the college.

In a meeting dated 19.06. 2010, it was resolved that the MACAAK be registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961 at the earliest. Prof. Gholam Sarwar, the General Secretary along with Mr. Jaweed Yusuf, Mr. Mozammil Hossain and Mr. Tanwir Ahmed Khan worked hard for the registration and eventually got the association registered with effect from 19.01.2011 vide Regn. No.S/1L/77219.

Activities of Alumni

• Celebrates the College Foundation Day
• Organised the A.K. Fazlul Huq Memorial Lecture on 24th August, 2012 & 24th August, 2016.
• Organised the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial Lecture on 20th November, 2013.
• Participates in Counselling for the maintenance of discipline and good academic ambience in the college.
• Interacted with the members of the NAAC PEER TEAM on 6th September, 2016.
• Awards mementos, certificates to the toppers of Arts, Science and Commerce students of the College on College Foundation Day
• Published its first Magazine 'Alma Mater' on the 91st Foundation Day of the College.
• Adopted the College Garden for its maintenance and beautification.
• Launch the Web Page by the Alumni Association in 2018.
